When you come to our office, Billi Jo, Robin, Joy, Crystal or Dr. Bennett will welcome you with a smile. From the first moment you walk in the door, until you leave, you will find that each and every one at the Chiropractic Center of Northfield will be warm and friendly. We want you to feel like this is a comfortable place to receive health care. We strive to make your experience here easy, pleasant and beneficial.
You will find the goals of treatment at this office to be simple and straightforward:
1. Proper diagnosis: using patient history, palpation, examination, (orthopedic, neurological, chiropractic and X-ray) we will find the cause of the problem and then determine if chiropractic care is the appropriate treatment for your condition.
2. Pain Relief is our First Priority! Getting your body to feel better as soon as possible is our first goal. This could take from one visit to several weeks, depending on the severity of your problem.
3. Stabilization of your condition is an option after the pain has been resolved. Many people today have such fast-paced lives that it is difficult to follow through with a stabilization treatment plan. At this office, we are more than happy to treat you to relieve your pain or eliminate the problem. We can increase your flexibility, strengthen weak muscles and ligaments, and remodel old scar tissue. This process can take from one to four months, depending on how chronic your problem is.
4. Preventive care is a choice that many of our patients make, after they have been through acute pain situations. For these patients, we provide regular chiropractic care with other healthy practices, including proper diet, vitamins, and exercise programs. A healthy body needs no drugs or surgery to thrive, but it is your responsibility and your choice. Since some people do not take responsibility for their bodies, preventative care is not for everyone.
Dry needling, also known as myofascial trigger point dry needling, is the use of either solid filiform needles (also referred to as acupuncture needles) or hollow-core hypodermic needles for therapy of muscle pain, including pain related to myofascial pain syndrome.
Kinesio Taping is a definitive rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion as well as providing extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting.
